PACKAGING

Kindly note, this quotation is based on the approval of adequate packaging and should claims arise due to insufficient packaging, Expressway will not entertain any costs whatsoever.

GENERAL

INVOICES AND STATEMENTS

Invoices will be raised on a monthly basis and statements are presented by the 7th of each month via email and via a hard copy if requested. Payment is expected 30 days from statement


CHARGEABLE MASS

Chargeable Mass is determined by comparing the actual mass and volumetric mass. Charge will apply to the greater of the two.

STANDARD TRADING CONDITIONS

All consignments are handled in accordance with our Standard Trading Conditions. Standard Trading Conditions apply to all quotations and a copy is available on request.

CLAIMS / GOODS IN TRANSIT INSURANCE (G.I.T)

Outstanding claims of any nature may not be deducted from the due payment without the consent of the accounts department of Expressway. If insurance is not taken when signing the credit application, Expressway will not be held liable for any loss or damages from whatever nature. Should claims arise and an agreement is reached between Expressway and the client, each claim will be calculated at cost price.


CLAIMS /POD’S

Please note, no claims will be accepted unless the receiver has endorsed on the delivery note/waybill that there are any damages or loss.

INSURANCE

In terms of the FAIS Act (87 of 2002) we are not allowed to sell insurance cover to our clients. We do however offer an extended liability option on request at the expense of the client, in the form of a documentation fee. This option must be indicated when signing the standard trading conditions of Expressway and covers claims up to the value of (R 5000,00), Five Thousand Rands.



WEEKEND DELIVERIES

An additional surcharge of R 850,00 will be charged per delivery note / waybill for weekend deliveries within any Main Centre. Weekend Regional deliveries are made by arrangement only.


DELIVERIES OUTSIDE OF NOMINATED DELIVERY DAYS (CHAIN STORES)

An additional surcharge of R 850,00 per delivery note will be charged for deliveries required to take place outside of the structured service schedule.

FUTILE TIPS

For Deliveries or collections requested by the client which results in a futile trip, an added surcharge of R 550,00 will be added to the clients` billing.



EXPRESS FREIGHT RATES

The following service rates are available on request:

  • Express road freight (ECC)
  • Overnight express (ONX)
  • Same day express (SDX)
  • International courier

FUEL SURCHARGE

A basic fuel surcharge based on the current national market price is levied to all consignments and is subject to change. The fuel surcharge fluctuates 1% for every R 0,25 change in the national fuel price.



TERMS OF PAYMENTS

Our terms of payment are strictly 30 days from date of statement. Late payments will attract interest at the prime lending rate plus 2,5%


SURCHARGE

Surcharges will be applicable for ``Red Zones`` as well as for dedicated vehicle deliveries to outlying destinations not service daily from main hubs.




VALUE ADDED TAX (VAT)

The above rates and quotation is exclusive of VAT, the standard 14% will apply.


VALIDILITY

This quotation is Valid for a period of 30 days.
